Aquino's clean governance will induce votes from Visayas - Roxas

ROXAS: AQUINO’S COMMITTMENT TO CLEAN GOVERNANCE
TO CONVINCE VISAYAS TO VOTE FOR REFORM IN 2010

Liberal Party standard-bearer Senator Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III is committed to clean, honest and good governance and this will convince Visayans to vote for him this coming May 2010 elections, Liberal Party President Senator Mar Roxas confidently said.

Hinahamon natin ang administrasyon: ang mga Bisaya mismo ang subukan nilang kumbinsihin, hindi lang ang mga pulitiko sa Bisaya (Our challenge to the administration, go and try to convince the Visayan people themselves to support them, not just the political leaders there),” he said.

Ang mga nasa poder, may kani-kaniyang manok. Pero alam natin na ang lahat ng Pilipino—lahat ng taga-Visayas—kaisa natin sa laban para sa tuwid at tapat na gobyerno (Those in power have put their money on their chosen bets. But we know that all Filipinos—all Visayans—are united in this fight for clean and honest governance),” he continued.

Wherever Filipinos are and despite the differences of their ethnicity, religion and social standing, Filipinos are united for true and unquestionable transformation in the country. Roxas, who hails from Visayas declared.

“Ang Kabisayaan, hindi balwarte ng iilan kundi tahanan ng taumbayang naghahangad ng tunay na pagbabago (Visayas is not a bailiwick of a few but the home of people who are striving for meaningful change),” he added.

This weekend Roxas will visit Cebu together with LP Standard-Bearer Senator Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III. They will attend a series of Liberal Party assemblies located in the different towns of the province. They would present their platform which emphasizes only clean, honest, and no-nonsense governance that is capable of providing quality lives for the people.

“We can create more quality jobs if we have a clean government. More investors will be enticed to do business here—in BPO, exporting, agribusiness and other industries—if they know that the government is serious in eliminating corruption,” he said.

Roxas is the recognized “Father of the BPO and Call Center Industries,” who spearheaded the industry which now provides hundreds of thousands of quality jobs in the country, more than 50,000 of which are in Cebu. Iloilo is now also among the new BPO hotspots.

He also pointed out that Visayan farmers stand to gain from honest and clean governance. According to him, proper support and funding do not reach farmers because of massive corruption and bankrupt policies. “Tatanggalin natin ang mga Joc-Joc Bolante na nagnanakaw ng pondong para dapat sa mga magsasaka (We will remove the Joc-Joc Bolantes who steal funds allotted for farmers).”
